PRIVACY POLICY STATEMENT

Generally

We take privacy seriously because it is about respect for you as a user of our website and for you as a student. NOCNA has therefore drawn up this privacy policy in accordance with the Personal Data Act for the processing of personal data, where requirements for information security and internal control are taken care of.

Personal data that is stored

Personal data is all forms of data, information and information that can be linked to and identify a person, for example name, social security number, telephone number or picture. More information on privacy can be found at www.datatilsynet.no.

The information that we receive about you will be used to fulfill our obligations towards you in accordance with agreement on studies, and as a user of our website, apps and learning platform. Typical examples of our use of personal data are to ensure that:

  • the right person gets admission to the right course
  • the right person can take the right exam
  • the right person receives information about upcoming studies
  • the right person gets access to various IT services, apps or similar

The information will be used exclusively by NOCNA as data controller, unless we are required by law to hand over the information.

As a student at NOCNA

When entering into a study agreement, the student gives consent for NOCNA to use the student’s login and use of the e-learning platform for:

– follow-up

– troubleshooting in systems

– or other purposes that are necessary for the services NOCNA is obliged to provide in order to fulfill the agreement.

As a student at NOCNA, relevant personal data is stored in connection with the agreement, for example in communication with teachers, online teachers, study advisor, examiner etc.

Disclosure of student information

Teachers and online teachers will have access to the necessary personal information to be able to carry out evaluation of tasks, submissions and messages/feedback related to such. The examiner will have access to the necessary personal information to be able to carry out the examination of the exam.

NOCNA’s IT suppliers have access to personal data, where this is necessary. NOCNA has a data processing agreement with current IT suppliers at all times, which ensures privacy for the student.

NOCNA complies with Norwegian law and therefore releases student information to organizations such as:

– Statens Lånekasse for education

– NOKUT

– Statistics Norway

– Arvato

– Gothia

on demand. In addition to this, NOCNA cannot hand over the student’s personal data to third parties, unless special consent has been given for this.
